Pain does indeed have a voice, do you hear it?

Pain does have a voice, and because of this it is very important that we listen to it, and share what we learn from it. We all have different types of pain, and our pain will be expressed in many ways. For this post, I will share three areas specifically. Those areas are mental, physical, and emotional. They all have a very strong voice, one that we tend to muffle and ignore. We do this because most time we are afraid of what will happen if it is heard. We are afraid that things won't change. We are afraid that no one will believe the level of pain that we have experienced. We often times do not believe that anyone cares! I have a few examples that can help in this process. Mental pain can affect our thoughts, and our perception of ourselves and others. Physical pain can affect our progression; how we move, inside and out. Emotional pain is the silent killer. It is the one that goes straight for the heart. It can cause us to never trust. It can cause us to never allow ourselves to show love, or receive love. It comes to snuff us out before we can get our second wind, but thank God this is not the end of the story. God has an awesome plan for us all in Jeremiah 29:11 and the plan is full proof!!! I will list eight key things that I have learned over the years that helped me to give a voice to my pain and overcome. I hope that these keys help someone like they helped me. 1) Be honest with God, and with yourself concerning your pain 2) Acknowledge that you are hurting and want change 3) Have someone in your corner that you trust to share with 4) Surround yourself with people who will tell you the truth in love 5) Be open and flexible 6) Write about what you hurt about (keeping a journal or notebook is a good tool) 7) Forgive so that you can live 8) Remind yourself often that your past does not have to paint and frame your future Pain does have a voice! Trust your gut, pay attention, and make the necessary changes so that you will overcome your life obstacles.

I asked myself a question???

I asked myself a question, and that question was, "does pain have a voice, and if so, when is it heard?" I begin to think about painful things I experienced in life that left me seemingly voiceless. Things that caused me to walk through some points of my life like one who does a mime, "movement with no audible voice!" Sometimes the pain was so great that I didn't desire a voice. I kept things to myself. I didn't share with friends or family. Talking about things at times had a weight that I didn't want to carry. You tell yourself, things will get better and be better just to realize that a thought alone won't change a thing, but taking action will. You say I will talk soon; I will shift from "movements," to mere mumbles to begin my process, my process of pain expression. Well, time starts ticking; anxiety sets in, the pressure mounts, and all you know is that the voice deep down within you MUST be heard. Minutes turn into hours, hours turn into days, days turn into months, and months turn into years. You think holding your breath for a period of time is hard, try holding in pain for periods of time. Try thinking that it will hurt more to talk, than to hold it in. It is not a pretty place to be in, but purposeful. So you see pain does have a voice, a voice that is deep rooted at times depending on the depth of the issue. Try not to focus on the fact that you’re hurting, but instead focus on the need to give a voice to your pain. Once it has a voice your healing options will be endless!!!
